BIS live brief

The Department of Buisness Innovation Skills (Bis) held a competiteon to designers in education, the objective was to create a christmas themed E-card that promoted growth in the economy and carried the message "Best wishes for christmas and new year. I made 3 Wise Buisness men carrying gifts in an office, each gift being one of Bis's goals. It was hand drawn and coloured in photoshop, a process Im growing rather fond of as it keeps the illustration's hand rendered feel.

Unit 10 (subsection of personal and professional development)

For this unit we where asked to create a set of 6 christmas cards all of which carrying a theme which was repeated throughout. My series of cards was called "Regular Reindeer" featured a Reindeer related pun or joke on each card. They where rendered by hand and then coloured on photoshop. Certain typefaces where added in afterwards.

This was for my construction crafts module, wherin we where asked to design a set of packaging ( including a box. bag and booklet) based around a character of the alphabet, I was given M, so i based my work around a "Metallic" theme by using tin foul and metal-like materials.

For this unit we where asked to write (or find) an article about a pre-chosen graphic designer and design a DPS and Front cover in accordance to their style. The designer I chose was Jon Burgerman. In hindsight, I really think more could be done with the DPS.
This was another part of my typography unit, where I had to find an image of a persons facial expression and add a suitable caption made out of suitable materials to suit the situation. I chose this facial expression because the person features looks angry about something as silly as having his last Soda stolen.

This is a series based on the star signs for a T-shirt design brief. The theme I chose was the star signs, only five were needed though.
Taurus, Cancer, Pieces,
Gemini and Leo
This is my main project from the typography section of my first year work, we were told to select a character from popular culture and design a typeface based on them. I chose Pikachu. The characters are made of different types of clay and play-doh.
